Product Design Student

— DATE

January 2024 – April 2024

This was a speculative design project for Social Narratives course, centred around emergent concepts for innovation.

In case of Shrshk – the imagined ban on manufacture of new clothing is circumvented through digital pattern sales model that allows people to create upcycled clothes which meet high-end brand specifications.

Brief concluded with cohesive media package tied to service experience outlined below.

Key visual materials for brand touchpoints

1. Consistent visual identity matching the product.

2. Associated physical product packaging.

3. Printed information guide.

4. Comprehensive multimedia presentation for stakeholders.

Core identity

Visual language package has been built around the physical NFC storage device meant to contain clothing pattern files. Key terms were ‘future-forward’, ‘exciting’ and ‘impactful’.

Physical packaging render

Adobe Dimensions visualisation made with unified 3D and 2D assets.

Printed guide

Tri-fold leaflet has been designed and printed – providing a supporting asset for users after the physical product unboxing experience.

InDesign layout has been populated with custom components from Adobe CC and Figma.

Final presentation

Bringing a brand to life

In order to provide a clear overview of the complex service design concept, a high-fidelity video presentation has been built with further expanded asset library and extra effects such as animations.

Outcome

Over the course of this 4-month multimedia project I became further proficient in the use of both Adobe Creative Suite, as well as Figma. The resulting feedback was positive – noting the branding consistency thorough the service proposal.

What is more important – this case study significantly improved my understanding of graphic design and creating strong brand identity.
